Deep inside a forgotten pyramid, Pengqueen's mummy has just woken up from her eternal sleep, and she is not in a good mood. Pyramid of Pengqueen plunges you into a suspense-filled treasure hunt on a double-sided vertical 3D board: while one player takes on the role of the mummy and peers into the darkness to catch intruders, the others secretly move their magnetic pawns on the other side of the board to grab five magic treasures before getting caught. The mummy never actually sees where the treasure hunters are hiding, but she can guess their position from dice rolls and the clues they give away: a true deduction game full of bluffing that keeps everyone on the edge of their seat until the very last second.

Pyramid of Pengqueen is for you if you love hide-and-seek games where the tension builds with every turn, if you're looking for a game night that works for kids and adults alike, and if the idea of playing a treasure-hungry mummy (or narrowly escaping one) makes you smile. No reading is required to play, which makes it a great pick for multilingual tables and families.

Fun fact: the game is a reissue of a well-received classic that was even nominated for the Golden Geek Best Children's Board Game award in 2009. Since it relies almost entirely on symbols with very little text, it plays just as well among people who don't speak the same language, a fairly rare quality for such an immersive deduction game.

The game was designed by Marcel-André Casasola Merkle, a German designer also behind the game Rules!, while the artwork is signed by Vincent Dutrait, an illustrator well known among board game fans.
