Dixit Daydreams pulls you into a brand new world of waking dreams, somewhere between the fantastical and the downright strange. This expansion for Dixit adds 84 all-new cards, illustrated by Franck Dion, to the games you already know. The core idea stays the same: each round, one player becomes the storyteller, picks a card from their hand, and gives a clue - a word, a sentence, a sound, a tune - that they think matches the chosen image. Every other player then digs through their own hand for a card that could also fit that clue, and everyone votes to guess which card truly belongs to the storyteller. Not too obvious, not too obscure: that's the whole art of telling a good story with Dixit Daydreams.

You'll probably love Dixit Daydreams if you already own Dixit and want to freshen up your game nights without changing a single rule. The new artwork, dreamier and often tinged with a touch of strangeness, sparks the imagination of longtime fans and surprises even players who know the base cards by heart. It's a natural pick for party game lovers who enjoy telling stories as a group and seeing where the vote lands.

Fun fact: Dixit Daydreams isn't only compatible with the base Dixit game. According to BoardGameGeek, this fifth expansion also pairs with Dixit: Odyssey and Dixit: Journey, a real bonus for collectors who keep stacking boxes from the series over the years. The card set also holds an average rating of 7.6/10 on BoardGameGeek from over 2700 voters, making it one of the best-rated expansions in the whole Dixit line.

Behind this expansion is Jean-Louis Roubira, the original creator of Dixit, this time joined by illustrator Franck Dion, whose artwork brings a distinctly dreamlike tone to every game.

To play, you'll absolutely need the base Dixit game (or another compatible box from the series), since Dixit Daydreams is an expansion: the box only contains cards, with no board, no tokens, and no full rulebook.
