Sul'bord d'la 138 (FR) invites you on a colorful road trip along Quebec's Cote-Nord (North Shore), trivia questions riding shotgun the whole way. Split into two teams, name a host, and let the cards do the rest: songs to guess, charades to act out, and multiple-choice questions keep coming as you make your way toward the end of Route 138. A true party game built to keep everyone sharp, whether you're in the car, at the campsite, or around the kitchen table.
Three ways to play let you adjust the pace of the game. In classic mode, the first team to reach 10 points (or 10 cards) wins. In absorption mode, every correct answer lets you recruit a player from the opposing team onto your own side. In elimination mode, every correct answer simply knocks an opponent out of the game. Any pit stop turns into a fun little contest of general knowledge about Quebec.
You'll probably love Sul'bord d'la 138 if you're into fast-paced trivia games, if you've got quick reflexes for guessing a song or a charade before the other team does, and if you want a game that's ready to go on a road trip, at the campground, or between dinner and dessert. A great way to break the ice among travelers, no matter their age.
The idea behind the Sul'bord d'la series came from a nine-year-old, the youngest member of the Quebec family behind the company that makes it. After a standout appearance on Dans l'oeil du dragon, Quebec's answer to Dragon's Den, where an investor put $20,000 on the table, the family drove all the way to Kegaska, the village where Route 138 comes to an end, to gather inspiration for the questions on the spot. At 1,420 kilometres, Route 138 is Quebec's second-longest road, more than enough ground to fill 80 question cards.
The same family also created Sul'bord d'la 20 and Sul'bord d'la Transcanadienne, taking players down every major Quebec highway one card at a time.
