*French version
Sides (FR) is a cooperative deduction game where every word must be chosen carefully. Each round, two players become the detectives while the others act as witnesses. Their mission is to give one-word clues that help the detectives identify a hidden mystery word. The twist is brilliant: each clue must begin with one of the letters shown at either end of the letter-card line.
This simple restriction immediately creates fun tension. Witnesses must choose clues that are clear enough to guide the detectives, but precise enough to avoid sending them in the wrong direction. The detectives must then discuss, interpret the group's clues, and agree on a single answer. If they guess correctly, a new round begins with two new detectives. If not, the witnesses must try again using a new letter card.
In Sides, the fewer clues you use and the more words you guess, the higher your score. The game encourages efficient thinking, subtle communication, and creative word choices. Sessions quickly create surprising, funny, and satisfying moments when one perfectly chosen clue leads the team to the right answer.
You will probably enjoy Sides (FR) if you like word games, cooperative challenges, and social games that mix logic with creativity. It is an excellent choice for friends, families, and groups who enjoy accessible but clever deduction games.
The game stands out thanks to its letter-based clue restriction, which forces players to think differently. This constraint turns every round into a small group puzzle and gives the game strong replayability.
Sides was designed by Cédrick Caumont and François Romain, and published by Captain Games. Their design focuses on a clean, easy-to-teach system that quickly creates discussion and engagement around the table.
