Wizard Community College welcomes you to a magical school where students know powerful spells but have very little control over them. In this cooperative party game, 3 to 8 student wizards combine their imaginations to solve the strange problems disrupting their college. The catch? Magic has an unfortunate habit of going wrong, turning even the best intentions into memorable disasters.

On your turn, you announce the spell you want to cast using the Spell cards in front of you for inspiration. You then randomly pull a disc from the drawstring bag. Its colour determines which other player resolves your spell, while its symbol provides a guideline for what actually happens. Your magic might work, hit the wrong target, become far more powerful than intended, or fail spectacularly. Whatever happens becomes another piece of the story your group is creating together.

Beneath the magical chaos is a shared objective. Players work together to complete the objectives on a Major Event card within just a few rounds. Whether the group succeeds or fails, every session creates its own unpredictable adventure. With setup and teaching designed to take under two minutes, the standard game delivers a complete experience in about 20 minutes. Groups looking for a deeper storytelling role-playing game can switch to the 90 to 120 minute Epic Game, which follows the students through three full terms with Minor Events, Items, and additional spells.

It is especially approachable for groups interested in role-playing without needing a game master, lengthy character creation, or a complicated rules system. Beyond the 20-minute standard game and the 90 to 120 minute Epic Game, groups can continue playing additional terms when they want their story to keep going. The designer has also provided a two-player variant, although the official player count printed for the game remains 3 to 8 players.

Wizard Community College was designed by David Marron, combining accessible card play, improvisation, and collaborative storytelling. Art and graphic design are by BC Crabtree, with game development credited to Craig Carpenter.
