Welcome to flamboyant Paris at the close of the 19th century, a city transforming into its architectural golden age. Freshly basking in the success of the 1889 World's Fair and its brand new Eiffel Tower, the French capital is living its Belle Epoque: grand boulevards are lined with Art Nouveau facades, monuments compete for prestige, and savvy investors sense the opportunity of a lifetime.

In Paris, you take on the role of a wealthy real estate developer determined to leave your mark on the city. Turn after turn, you acquire building tiles to develop the districts, place keys to claim area majority in coveted sectors, and gather bonus tiles that turn every investment into victory points. The francs you collect finance future purchases, while resource and prestige tokens let you snap up iconic buildings, from the Arc de Triomphe to the most prestigious Parisian addresses.

Each round of this strategy game unfolds in short, dynamic turns: you place tiles, choose your actions carefully, and watch a rebuilt city gradually take shape before your eyes. The scoring system, inspired by the best Euro games, rewards players who skillfully combine buildings and end-game bonuses throughout this reimagined Belle Epoque.

Paris is for you if you love management games where every decision counts, if you enjoy building your strategy tile by tile, and if the idea of turning an entire capital into a real estate empire appeals to you. Fans of area majority and well-oiled combos will find a playground worthy of their expectations, in games that typically wrap up in about ninety minutes.

Fun fact: Paris carries the signature of German design duo Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling, the same creators behind the beloved games Tikal and Torres, both crowned with the prestigious Spiel des Jahres award. Their signature style shows through here too, with buildings to acquire and multiple bonuses to combine for a maximum score.

Illustrations by Andreas Resch bring this bustling capital to life, from horse-drawn carriages to grand boulevards and Haussmann-era monuments, for a result as elegant as it is immersive.
