Hamsterrolle (ML)

Picture a wooden hamster wheel divided into several compartments, separated by low fences. That is the playing surface of Hamsterrolle, a dexterity game where each player tries to place all of their pieces before everyone else. On your turn, you set one of your wooden blocks in the wheel... which moves and rolls as the game goes on!
The goal is simple: place everything without letting anything fall. If pieces tumble out of the wheel during your turn, you have to take them all back and place them again later. It takes precision, a steady hand and a bit of strategy, since the compartments where you may play are limited and two identical blocks cannot end up in the same compartment. The first player with no pieces left wins the game.
Hamsterrolle plays with 2, 3 or 4 players, and even in teams of two with four players, which makes it a balancing game that is perfect for family nights or get-togethers with friends. The rules are explained in a few minutes and every game is full of suspense and laughs.
Hamsterrolle is for you if you love balancing games where the tension rises with every piece placed, if you are looking for an easy-to-play family game suitable from age 7, or if you want a party game that makes winners and losers laugh alike.
Fun fact: to keep the pace up, the rules say that a player who takes more than 30 seconds to place a piece must let go of it in the wheel, even if that makes pieces fall out. The game is also known as Hamster Roll.
Hamsterrolle was designed by Jacques Zeimet and illustrated by Andrea Hofbeck and Stefan Sälzer. Its wooden wheel and colorful blocks give this board game an inviting look that appeals to players of all ages.
