Along the Great Frozen River lives the Frostrivers tribe, a nomadic people who live in harmony with nature under the law of the Four Elders. When the most venerable of them, the Neta-Tanka, feels the twilight of his life approaching, he gathers every clan of the tribe to name his successor. Each player takes on the role of a young clan leader determined to prove their worth: hunting game, tanning pelts, crafting tools, feeding their people and raising the tallest totem. In Neta-Tanka Deluxe, every round unfolds in two phases: first, all players place their nomads on the action spaces of the board, then those actions resolve in turn order. This worker placement twist forces careful planning, since some actions depend on others triggered earlier (no pelts to collect if nobody hunted, no meat for the smokehouse if nobody skinned the game), while linking certain locations boosts your resources. A resource management game where remembering turn order and planning ahead matter just as much as generosity toward rival clans.

Neta-Tanka was designed by Herve Rigal, also known for the bluffing and deduction game Shakespeare, with artwork by Quentin Regnes bringing the icy homeland of the Frostrivers tribe to life.
