Moustache is a twist-filled trick-taking game where nothing stays the same for long. Each round, teams are randomly reshuffled, turning former rivals into allies and trusted partners into new opponents. Your goal is to win the right tricks, collect stars, and earn the most valuable trophy tokens after four rounds.

This card game adds a wonderfully chaotic layer to a classic mechanism. A new Rule card is revealed each round and remains active until the end of the game: reversed colour hierarchy, visible pink cards, identical values being discarded, powerful 2 cards, negative green stars, or shifting lead colours. Every game demands adaptation, table reading, and sharp timing.

In this family game, players must follow the leading colour whenever possible, but card strength is determined first by colour, then by value. Green cards are usually the weakest, followed by pink, orange, and blue. Since the rules keep evolving, that order can quickly change, creating the perfect dose of controlled chaos.

Interesting fact: in 3- and 5-player games, the smaller team receives special Jokers. The unicorn can win a trick, the monkey can steal a card, and the pigeon can discard the whole trick. These cards create memorable reversals and make uneven-player games especially fun.

Moustache was designed by Alexandre Aguilar and Jules Messaud, with artwork by Gorobeï. Their design turns traditional trick-taking into a modern, accessible, and delightfully wild experience where adapting matters just as much as planning.
