Morty Sorty Magic Shop welcomes you into a world-famous store for witches, wizards and potion-loving customers. As a newly hired apprentice, you must prove that you have what it takes to organize Morty Sorty's valuable ingredients. Each round, Jar tiles are drawn from the bag and placed in a shared display. On your turn, carefully choose one jar and find the best position for it on your personal three-row shelf.

Behind its approachable rules, this clever tile placement game creates an engaging puzzle. A jar's lid colour determines which shelf levels can hold it, while the numbers in every row must remain in ascending order from left to right. That means choosing the tile that helps you now while keeping useful spaces open for ingredients that may appear later. Adorable magical kittens and special jars can also provide valuable advantages when your carefully organized plan needs a little magic.

The game ends when the shared display can no longer be completely refilled, and then every shelf is scored. Completed shelf rows, collected ingredients, scoring scrolls, shelf signs and badges can all contribute to your final total of star points. With double-sided shelf boards and different scoring possibilities, this family board game creates fresh decisions from one session to the next while maintaining a quick pace and easy-to-learn rules.

Morty Sorty Magic Shop was nominated for the prestigious 2026 Spiel des Jahres, one of the best-known honours in board gaming. The game also features two sides on its shelf boards: side A introduces the system, while side B can be used in later games. Small scoring scrolls can also be introduced for the advanced game, adding further variety to the challenge.

Morty Sorty Magic Shop was designed by Markus Slawitscheck and illustrated by David Cochard. Slawitscheck drew inspiration for the game from the goods found at Vienna's famous Naschmarkt. Cochard's colourful artwork brings the jars, fantastical ingredients and feline helpers of this charming magic shop game to life.
