Mini casse-tête - Art Cats (99 pcs)

On the sky blue box of the Art Cats jigsaw puzzle, nine cat portraits sit in a neat grid, each one framed in its own little world of color. A black cat crowned with flowers reigns over a green background, a nod to Frida Kahlo, while a pink and mauve cat with angular features echoes a cubist face broken into color facets. A bit further, a checkered cat shouts "Miaow Miaoooow" against a deep purple background, while another, sporting dark sunglasses and a gold chain, flashes a mischievous grin on a sunny yellow panel. At the center of the grid, a grey cat in a black and white striped sweater instantly recalls Picasso's famous sailor shirt silhouette. Next to it, a cat in a suit, red tie and green hat raises an eyebrow with a mysterious dandy air. In the bottom row, a white cat covered in red polka dots on a scarlet background pays homage to Yayoi Kusama's signature pattern world, an orange cat proudly holds a bouquet of sunflowers against a starry sky worthy of Van Gogh, and a beige cat with a delicate pattern closes the row on a powder pink background. Together they form a small feline art gallery, full of humor and playful nods to famous names in painting.

Art Cats is part of a series that brings together fifteen iconic figures from art history reimagined as cats, from Frida Kahlo to Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh and Yayoi Kusama; this 99-piece mini format gathers a delightful sample of them in a single box. Fans of a quick puzzle break will enjoy how fast this one comes together, while art lovers get a playful wink as they spot each feline character.

The colorful illustrations in this series are the work of Nia Gould, an artist known for her mischievous and witty cat portraits, who has also lent her style to other artist cats like Vincent Cat Gogh and Basquicat. This jigsaw puzzle is distributed by Jumbo.
