Leisure Days No.13 - Lazy Days by the Stream (1000 pcs)

Slip into an unhurried summer day with this 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. In the foreground, a clear stream tumbles over small stone steps where children splash about while swans and ducks drift along with the current. An old stone bridge arches across it, then the cobbled road leads into the heart of the village, lined with thatched cottages, stone houses with tiled roofs and a wisteria in full bloom.

Your eye wanders from one little scene to the next: a man resting on a bench, a ginger dog trotting by, a vintage red car parked near the geese, a red telephone box, riders passing beneath a big tree and blue hydrangeas along the edge. In the distance, green hills and pastures close the horizon. A landscape puzzle rich in detail, perfect for long assembly sessions.

This puzzle is for you if you love village jigsaw puzzles full of little stories to spot, nostalgic moods and warm summer colours. The many small characters and touches of colour (flowers, roofs, vehicles) give you good landmarks for sorting the pieces.

This is number 13 in the Leisure Days collection. The illustration is by Steve Crisp.
