A volcano rumbles, the island shakes, and the fiercest monsters on the planet are gathering... for once, they are not fighting each other. In King of Monster Island, players take on the role of giant creatures who must set aside their differences and cooperate to take down a titanic Boss before it finishes building an interdimensional portal that threatens to wipe out the Earth.

On each turn, you roll your dice to hand out slaps, heal up, gather energy, buy cards, move around the island, recruit support, or grab a bit of fame. The Boss, meanwhile, acts based on dice rolled straight into the central volcano, a genuine 3D dice tower that sets the tone for every game. Each monster develops its own powers and can build boats to give teammates extra actions, rewarding teamwork over competition. The game plays solo or with up to five players, and an escalating Boss difficulty keeps every session fresh with strong replayability.

You'll probably love King of Monster Island if you enjoy fast-paced dice games, if you're after a truly cooperative experience where every player matters, and if the idea of playing a giant kaiju fighting alongside your friends (not against them) makes you grin. Fun fact: King of Monster Island is the first fully cooperative game in the King of Tokyo universe, a series otherwise known for its no-holds-barred player-versus-player brawls. The central volcano, with dice cascading down its slopes, doubles as a spectacular centerpiece and a working dice tower that drives the Boss's actions.

The game is designed by Richard Garfield, the mind behind King of Tokyo, King of New York, and the very first trading card game, Magic: The Gathering. The vibrant, energetic artwork comes from illustrator Paul Mafayon.
