JvH Junior #25, School Camp (360 pcs)

This JvH Junior puzzle drops you right into a school camp overnight, where the chaos starts the moment everyone wakes up. The illustration is dominated by a tall red-brick building, complete with a basketball hoop hanging from a window where kids are already shooting hoops. Just below, a full-blown pillow fight erupts across a set of bunk beds, cushions flying everywhere, while a few pranksters hide under white sheets to play ghost and another camper gets wrapped head to toe like a mummy. A giant banana-shaped yellow slide takes over the foreground, surrounded by colorful sleeping mats where some campers are already doing cartwheels or stretching before joining the group gathered around a campfire, seated on stones at the center of the yard. Strings of small glowing lights twinkle between the trees, giving this schoolyard-turned-adventure-camp the warm feel of a late-night gathering.

This puzzle is part of the JvH Junior collection, designed specifically for younger puzzlers: bigger pieces, the same busy scenes, but sized for a family audience, across a growing range of formats (150, 240 and 360 pieces) that let kids progress at their own pace. The Junior line is also produced on recycled cardboard, a small eco-friendly touch for environmentally conscious families. Putting together a jigsaw puzzle is also a well-known way to build concentration and fine motor skills in children, all while sharing a fun moment as a family.

The busy, detail-packed artwork on this puzzle is signed by Wilma van den Bosch, the artist behind the entire JvH Junior collection at Studio Jan van Haasteren since 2022. Known for her vibrant, colorful style, she reimagines the familiar Jan van Haasteren cast with rosy cheeks and a look built to appeal to younger puzzlers, all while keeping the over-the-top energy that made JvH puzzles famous.
