Welcome to the village market! In Formidable Farm (FR), you play a farmer trying to meet the villagers' wishes by delivering the right crops at the right time. Wheat, cucumbers, tomatoes, sheep and pigs are traded at the market, and every successful trade can earn you a reward.

The challenge? You don't know the villagers' wishes in advance: you uncover them one trade at a time. Each card shows what is asked of you at the top and what you earn at the bottom. On your turn, move your disc onto the supply board to gather crops, then fulfill up to three cards from your hand or from the market. When deliveries fall short, you can make extra trades, and your fulfilled cards even act as currency to break the rules in your favor. The game ends when a player finishes their personal stack, and the player with the most valuable crops wins.

Formidable Farm is for you if you enjoy card games where every turn is a small planning puzzle, if you like combos that chain together, and if you are looking for a family game that plays just as well solo as with four.

The game was designed by Friedemann Friese, the author of Power Grid, known for original ideas and mechanics off the beaten path. Here, the unexpected comes from hidden wishes that are revealed as the game unfolds.
