Each turn, you add an ivy card to your building's grid to expand your inn, then assign your quirky guests according to their very specific preferences: diagonally adjacent, lined up on the same row, or completely surrounded by walls. The more cleverly you combine these preferences, the higher your score climbs by the end of the game, which wraps up in just ten turns using only twenty ivy cards. The story mode drops you into a storybook of eleven scenarios, each with its own challenges, secret doors to unlock and stickers to collect along the way, while an endless mode offers several board setups to keep playing once the story wraps up.
