Drillers (EN)
In Drillers, you take control of a unique mech to explore the remains of an abandoned mine left behind long ago by a forgotten mining corporation. Every level you push into brings new opportunities, but also new risks: fuel keeps running low, and every decision carries more weight. By collecting cards, you improve your mech's drilling capabilities, unlock new actions, and push your operation further underground.
Once you make it back to the surface, you can sell your mined minerals to fund better equipment, or hand the logistics off to drones to automate your operations. Every choice ripples out to affect the other players, constantly creating new opportunities around the table. With its multi-use cards and the combos you build up over each descent, Drillers turns every turn into a genuine strategic puzzle: how far are you willing to drill before turning back?
You'll likely enjoy Drillers if you thrive on resource management games where every card needs to be optimized to the fullest, if you love building a deck that evolves from game to game, and if the idea of risking it all for a bit more ore before running out of fuel gets your heart racing. The built-in solo mode also makes Drillers a great pick for solitaire game nights.
Each of the four playable mechs is inspired by a real industrial vehicle, giving the game a distinctive look right from setup. Since its release, Drillers has quickly won over players, earning an average rating of 7.9/10 from nearly 800 voters on BoardGameGeek.
The game was designed by Roman Bednar, in his first board game design credit, alongside Adam Spanel, already known for his work on Project L. Illustrations are by Ondrej Hrdina, Jiri Kus, Jiri Mikovec, and Jakub Politzer.
