Dawn of Ulos (pré-joué) (EN)

The games in the L'As des jeux Bazar are pre-played games. They have been inspected by one of our game experts and are certified "Complete." You may find some minor imperfections, such as light wear on the box or on certain game components.

For untold ages, the mortal races lived isolated on separate planes, unaware of any world beyond their own. Then the dragon god Azema began shaping a new world by opening rifts toward those distant planes, and it is into that chaos that Dawn of Ulos invites you to stake your claim. This board game casts you as a deity of the planarverse, wagering on the rise and fall of mortals to extend your influence over the world of Ulos, a setting shared with the games Roll Player and Cartographers.

At the heart of the game, you develop a hexagonal territory through tile placement of development tiles, invest in your favorite factions, and orchestrate clashes between rival armies with a card-driven conflict resolution system. Every favor granted, every rift opened, and every successful pillage tips the balance of power. Hand management and investment combine in this economic strategy game to deliver a rich experience, where every decision matters right down to the very last tile placed.

You will likely enjoy Dawn of Ulos if you thrive on games where every choice carries lasting consequences, if you appreciate modular boards that change the game each time you play, and if you want a solo mode as solid as the multiplayer game thanks to its full automated system with dedicated mat and cards. Fans of influence management and tile-laying will find a demanding but very rewarding playground here.

Fun fact: Dawn of Ulos shares its fantasy setting with the hit games Roll Player and Cartographers, making it a great pick for anyone collecting games from the world of Ulos. The game also offers a full solo mode against the Ulrir entity, a rare option among economic games of this weight.

Designed by Jason Lentz, with evocative artwork by Diego Sa, Dawn of Ulos is published by Thunderworks Games.
