In the Caribbean of the 17th century, the great European powers are racing for control of trade and colonies. Maracaibo (FR) invites you to become a navigator and adventurer: you sail the sea, deliver goods to bustling port cities and complete narrative quests that tell a different story every time you play. To grow your influence, you must forge alliances with France, England and Spain, all while managing your hand of cards and upgrading your ship. This strategy game of resource management unfolds over four fast-paced rounds, where every routing, combat or trading decision can tip the game in your favor. This Bazar edition bundles the Maracaibo base game WITH its included The Uprising expansion, which adds new modules and scenarios (including a mode where the European nations are pushed out of the Caribbean, solo or co-op), asymmetric player powers, extra Story tiles and Project cards, plus a brand-new rival in solo mode.

Maracaibo was designed by Alexander Pfister, a regular at the top of award-winning strategy games: he is also behind Great Western Trail and Mombasa.
