Heroes of the Borderlands revisits Keep on the Borderlands, a classic adventure from the earliest days of Dungeons & Dragons, with cards, boards and tokens fully redesigned for the fifth edition ruleset. The box packs in more than 200 cards, close to 275 punch-out tokens, nine double-sided map posters and eleven dice, making it one of the most generous starter sets the brand has ever released, built so a brand-new table can go from opening the box to playing their first scene in about twenty minutes.

The set was designed under the direction of Justice Ramin Arman, a game designer at Wizards of the Coast, with a clear goal: cut down the time between opening the box and everyone actually playing.
