The games in the L'As des jeux Bazar are pre-played games. They have been inspected by one of our game experts and are certified "Complete." You may find some minor imperfections, such as light wear on the box or on certain game components.
Two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents hiding on the board. Their teammates only know these agents by their codenames. In Codenames Deep Undercover, two teams race to be the first to make contact with all of their own agents. Each spymaster gives a single-word clue that can point to several cards at once, and their team must guess which ones belong to them, without touching the other team's agents or, worse, the assassin, who ends the round on the spot. What sets this edition apart from the original? Its 195 cards are packed with double meanings and cheeky wordplay, built for a night out with adults rather than a family game night. The core concept stays refreshingly simple, but the laughs take a distinctly naughtier turn. Codenames Deep Undercover plays great on its own or combines with other Codenames boxes to grow the group and scramble the trail even further.
You'll probably love Codenames Deep Undercover if you're after a party game that takes the humor up a notch, if 18+ game nights full of double-entendre clues make you laugh until it hurts, or if your crew already knows the Codenames basics and wants a spicier twist on the same fast, social formula.
Fun fact: Codenames Deep Undercover keeps the exact rules of the original Codenames, a modern word-game classic, but swaps out the entire word bank for 195 cards with racier connotations, totaling 390 brand-new codenames. Like the rest of the family, its agent and key cards are fully compatible with other Codenames editions, so you can combine multiple boxes for a giant game among bigger groups of adults.
The game is designed by Vlaada Chvátil, the Czech designer behind the original Codenames as well as celebrated titles like Through the Ages, Mage Knight, and Galaxy Trucker. Codenames Deep Undercover carries the same crystal-clear mechanics that made his games so popular: rules simple enough to explain in minutes, with all the depth coming from the players themselves.
