ClueBox / Sherlock's Camera (ML)
- In stock, ready to ship
This mechanical puzzle box belongs to the ClueBox series, a collection of enigma boxes built as a hand-held escape room, solved entirely by hand with no app or timer required. The story behind Sherlock's Camera drops the player into 2023, during an inventory check in the Scotland Yard archives: an unclaimed parcel dated 1914 resurfaces. Inside sits an object shaped like a camera, though its mechanism relies on symbols and locks rather than a lens. A note tucked into the packaging reveals the sender was Sherlock Holmes himself, who is said to have hidden the identity of his successor inside before retiring. With more than 300 wooden pieces, gears, marbles and magnets, this box ranks among the most complex in the collection, rated expert level and built for solvers already comfortable with sequential puzzles. Expect 90 to 120 minutes to crack the mystery, solo or with a friend, before reaching the secret compartment tucked at the heart of the camera. Once solved, the mechanism resets using the included instructions, so the puzzle can circulate among friends or family without ever spoiling the surprise for the next solver.
The puzzle is designed by iDventure, a German studio specialized in wooden enigma boxes inspired by investigations and escape stories, which builds out its ClueBox collection across several worlds, from a legendary captain's undersea vault to a medieval kingdom's dungeon.
Dimensions: about 12 x 12 x 12 cm (about 21 x 12 x 12 cm with the tripod); secret compartment about 5 x 2 x 2 cm.
