Carnival of Sins is a dice and bluffing game that drops you into the heart of the New Orleans carnival, where masks hide true intentions and every sin can pay off big. A game lasts seven rounds. At the start of each round, the player holding the Devil card rolls the dice. Then everyone secretly picks one of their seven Sin cards. All cards are revealed in order and each sin's effect kicks in: you claim dice, rack up points and wreck your opponents' plans.
After seven rounds, the player with the highest score is crowned Carnival Monarch. It's a quick party game full of temptation, luck and cunning, where you need to read your opponents as well as your dice.
You will probably enjoy Carnival of Sins if you like lively games of bluffing and mischief where sudden reversals get the whole table laughing. It sets up in minutes and works as well for game nights with friends as for family dinners with teens.
Fun fact: the game draws on the world of Mardi Gras and the seven deadly sins, with differently shaped dice (six black and one white) that give each round its own flavor. According to the BoardGameGeek community votes, it shines most with 4 or 5 players.
The game was designed by Alex Nogués, with illustrations by Vicente Cifuentes. It needs no text during play, so it is easy to bring to the table with players of any language.
