Beneath the floorboards and between the walls, a secret world comes alive as soon as night falls. In Babioles (FR), you play a little critter collector sneaking into the corners of the human house to find tiny treasures: shiny buttons, lockets, gleaming gems and more. Your goal: decorate your burrow with the most profitable collection.

Each round, new trinkets are revealed in the middle of the table. You start with a hand of 4 cards, and those cards are your currency: in this card game of bidding with no money or tokens, you offer cards from your hand to decide turn order. Then, in turn, everyone picks up trinkets from the table, including the ones other players offered, to build their collection. After 5 or 6 rounds you count your points, and the most profitable collection wins.

Babioles is for you if you are looking for a quick family game that is easy to explain yet full of small dilemmas, where every card counts twice: for what it is worth in your collection and for what it can buy at auction. You will also enjoy it if you like games of about 30 minutes that flow without downtime, for 2 to 6 players.

Fun fact: players find the game shines especially with 4 players, and its complexity level remains very accessible. Babioles is the French edition of Trinket Trove, released in 2025.

The game was designed by Rocco Privetera and Paul Salomon, and the adorable critters and their treasures are illustrated by Sandara Tang.
