Five years have passed since the events of the base game, and Captain Freya has grown into a capable leader. With Winterfall, this expansion for Wondrous Creatures (FR), you return to the island in the middle of a long, harsh winter, where blizzards, auroras and other weather phenomena reshape the main board as you play. Some spaces grant powerful effects, while others disrupt your Habitats and shake up your worker placement strategy.

The Spirits, a mysterious new species that appears only in winter, interact in unique ways with the weather and open up new combos. Around them come new Creature cards, new Captains to play, objectives to complete, plus events and projects that encourage interaction between players. It plays solo or with up to 4 players.

You will probably love Wondrous Creatures: Winterfall (expansion) if you already fell for the base game and want to give it a second wind. It is a great fit for fans of strategy games who enjoy building an ever more efficient tableau of cards and adapting to a constantly evolving board.

Winterfall packs in serious content: 53 Creature cards, 6 Captain boards and 11 wooden Spirit eggs, all stored in dedicated storage trays. It is compatible with the Wondrous Creatures base game and can be combined with the other expansions in the line.

Winterfall is designed by Jaewoo Bang, Gunho Kim and C.W. Yeom, the creators of Wondrous Creatures, with artist Sophia Kang continuing the visual work of the base game.
