The seas are no longer safe when the Kraken lurks beneath the waves! This Captain Flip expansion is a mini-expansion that adds 5 brand-new Adventure boards, where you must gather as much treasure as possible without falling into the monster's grasp. Every game becomes tenser and more tactical: you balance risk and reward as you fill your columns with crew members, earning coins and possibly claiming the Treasure Map. Completing columns of identical or all different characters triggers new bonuses and opens the door to bolder strategies.

Want to sail alone? The solo mode offers a scoring challenge: earn as many coins as you can to climb the ranks up to the title of Legend of the Sea, while the Kraken's shadow grows with every move.

In the Jaws of the Kraken is for you if you already love Captain Flip and want to vary your games with a new way of scoring points, or if you are looking for a quick little family game, playable up to 5, that rewards pushing your luck.

Fun fact: the Captain Flip base game was a Spiel des Jahres 2024 nominee. This expansion, released in 2024, was created by Remo Conzadori and Paolo Mori, with illustrations by Jonathan Aucomte.

What you need to play: the Captain Flip base game is required, as this expansion cannot be played on its own.
