Panda Panda (FR)

*French version

In Panda Panda (FR), the tension rises with every card you draw, swap, or discard: can you rebuild the winning hand before anyone else? This tiny card game fits right in the palm of your hand and plays in about 15 minutes, perfect for a quick family break, a game night with friends, or a spot in your camping bag.

On your turn, you may take only one action: draw a card from the central deck, pick up the top card from an opponent's discard pile, or discard a card from your hand. Your goal is to build exactly one of the letter combinations shown on your player aid card, for example five Bs, three Ds, four Cs, or a full run from A to G - the exact combination depends on how many cards you are holding. Watch what everyone else is collecting, adjust your strategy, and above all, watch out for A cards: as soon as a player discards one, everybody must pass a card to their right, shaking up even the best-laid plans. The first player to start their turn with the perfect hand shouts "Panda Panda!" and wins the round; you need two round wins to take the game.

You will probably love Panda Panda if you are after a pocket-sized game that is easy to toss in a bag to liven up a game night, a family dinner, or a break between longer games. Fans of observation games and hand management should especially enjoy this miniature format, which plays just as well seated at the table as standing between courses.

Fun fact: Panda Panda first appeared in Japan under the name Cat Poker before being adapted for the North American market. The game belongs to Allplay's Tiny Games collection, a line of small games designed to fit in a box the size of your palm while still delivering real strategic depth.

The game is designed by Japanese creator Kaya Miyano, known for ultra-light card games meant to be played anywhere in just a few minutes, while the adorable pandas illustrating each card are the work of illustrator Sai Beppu. Panda Panda is published by Allplay.
