D&D Dungeons & Dragons RPG: Curse Of Strahd (EN)

Curse of Strahd draws you into the eternal mists of Barovia, a domain cut off from the rest of the multiverse and ruled with an iron fist by the vampire Strahd von Zarovich from the heights of Castle Ravenloft. The dark lord already knows your party has crossed into his realm, and he is waiting for you: a mysterious deck of cards, the Tarokka, determines in every playthrough where the allies and items that can turn the region's fate can be found, so no campaign plays out exactly the same way twice.
The adventure opens with Death House, a chilling introductory dungeon meant to carry a party of characters from level 1 to level 3 before they even set foot in Barovia, then continues all the way to level 10 across the count's entire domain. Built for a table of four to six adventurers, the campaign favors open-ended exploration over a straight chain of dungeons: every village, ruin, and forest in Ravenloft hides a piece of the puzzle that leads to Strahd's throne.
You will likely enjoy Curse of Strahd if you are looking for an authentic gothic horror campaign, if the idea of facing an aristocratic vampire as charming as he is dangerous appeals to you, and if you want a D&D 5e adventure that stays replayable thanks to elements that are randomized from one game to the next.
At the 2016 ENnie Awards, Curse of Strahd won gold for Best Adventure and gold for Best Cover Art, plus silver for Product of the Year. The module revisits and modernizes Ravenloft, the 1983 classic that first introduced Strahd von Zarovich.
The adventure is credited to Christopher Perkins, who oversaw Strahd von Zarovich's return in 5th edition by building on the work of Tracy and Laura Hickman, the creators of the original 1983 Ravenloft, with Adam Lee, Richard Whitters and Jeremy Crawford. Curse of Strahd is published by Wizards of the Coast.
To run this adventure, you'll need the Dungeons & Dragons 5e core rules: the Player's Handbook and the Dungeon Master's Guide are essential for building characters and adjudicating combat, and the Monster Manual usefully rounds out the Dungeon Master's arsenal.
