Five years have passed since the events of the base game, and Captain Freya has grown into a capable young leader. Winterfall takes you to Starbeak Island during a long, harsh winter, where blizzards and auroras reshape the main board as you play. Some spaces now grant powerful one-time effects, while others disrupt your Habitats and shake up your worker placement strategy.
This expansion also introduces the Spirits, a mysterious new species that appears only in winter and interacts uniquely with weather effects. Around them come a wealth of new Creature cards, new Captains to play, new Achievements to unlock, and an enhanced solo mode with optional challenge scenarios to keep every session fresh.

Winterfall is designed by Jaewoo Bang, Gunho Kim and C.W Yeom, the team behind Wondrous Creatures, with artist Sophia Kang continuing the visual work she started on the base game and other expansions such as Gargantuan Beasts.
