On the box of the Wasgij Christmas 21 puzzle, a festive shopping trip quickly turns into total chaos. Mr and Mrs Claus are enjoying a day out in the grandest department store in town, surrounded by towering, richly decorated Christmas trees, miniature hot air balloons hanging from the gilded ceiling, and columns wrapped in sparkling garlands. Santa has wandered off to browse the aisles, leaving Mrs Claus, bundled up in her pink fur-trimmed coat, surrounded by a snowman, a life-size wooden toy soldier, and a group of overexcited kids. A beaming salesman is just about to hand her a rather surprising accessory, a pair of reindeer antlers, while a life-size store horse wearing a Santa hat looks on. But something off to the side has just left Mrs Claus in complete shock: her mouth wide open and her hand near her face, her frozen expression says it all, and a close-up in the corner of the box confirms just how stunned she really is.

But in a true Wasgij puzzle, the picture printed on the box is never the one you assemble first. The concept, from Jumbo, completely flips the logic of a traditional jigsaw puzzle: using the clues hidden in this department store scene, you have to figure out what Mrs Claus is seeing off-screen that has left her so stunned, then piece together this brand new version of the story. The tagline printed right on the box sums up the challenge: "Don't puzzle what you see... puzzle what Mrs Claus sees!" This special holiday edition takes the fun even further by including a second, completely free 1000-piece puzzle, this one faithfully reproducing the department store image printed on the box, so you can compare both versions of this wild shopping day.

This 21st edition of the Wasgij Christmas collection joins a series of holiday puzzles released every year by Jumbo, where each new box tells a different misadventure lived by Mr and Mrs Claus, a tradition running for more than a decade that has built a real community of visual-riddle fans around it. The boxes and pieces in the Wasgij collection also meet FSC certification standards, an environmental commitment applied across the whole puzzle line.
