Ticket to Ride - USA - First Journey (ML)
- In stock, ready to ship
Hop aboard and cross the United States from coast to coast with Ticket to Ride - USA - First Journey! This kid-sized take on the famous Ticket to Ride series keeps the spirit of the original but uses simplified rules and games that wrap up in 15 to 30 minutes. On your turn, you draw two train cards or discard cards of the right color to claim a route between two cities with your plastic trains. Your goal: connect the two cities shown on your tickets. Each completed ticket is revealed in front of you, and if you link a West Coast city to an East Coast city, you earn a Coast-to-Coast bonus ticket. The first player to complete six tickets wins, or whoever has completed the most tickets when someone has placed all twenty of their trains.
This train game is an ideal doorway into the family board game hobby: it practices map reading, American geography, counting and route planning, without ever losing the fun.
Ticket to Ride - USA - First Journey is for you if you are looking for a game for kids ages 6 and up that paves the way to the classic Ticket to Ride, if you enjoy short games and if you want to share family game time without wading through long rules explanations.
The game was designed by Alan R. Moon, designer of the Ticket to Ride series, and illustrated by Cyrille Daujean and Jean-Baptiste Reynaud. It belongs to the family of junior versions of grown-up games, and its map of the United States is a great excuse to discover big cities from one end of the country to the other.
