Head to France for a brand new train adventure with this expansion for the beloved Ticket to Ride series! The double-sided board first takes you across the regions of France, where most of the routes aren't colored yet at the start of the game: every time you draw cards, you place a colored tile on an open track bed, and any player can then claim that route with the matching train car colors in hand. Flip the board over and head west for the conquest of the Old West, where each player builds their own rail network from a starting city, placing City pieces along their routes to score points, sometimes even at the expense of rivals whose routes cross into their territory. Two maps, two ways to play, one box to rediscover Ticket to Ride from a completely new angle.

Ticket to Ride: France is for you if you've already explored the classic maps and are looking for a new challenge to add to your Ticket to Ride collection. You'll love the tension of the France map, where no one knows exactly which routes will be colored until the game is well underway, and the more strategic thrill of the Old West, where building a connected network matters just as much as collecting the right cards.

This map is part of the popular annual series of official Ticket to Ride maps, which lets fans of the series explore a new region of the world every year. The France board stands out for its original mechanic of routes revealed as the game unfolds, while the Old West adds a dose of adventure with Alvin the Alien, a bonus character who can score extra points for the player controlling the city where he lands.

This expansion is signed by Alan R. Moon, the designer behind the original Ticket to Ride, a modern classic among family board games, joined here by illustrators Cyrille Daujean and Julien Delval who bring both maps to life. The game is published by Days of Wonder.

This box isn't a standalone game: you'll need a copy of Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride: Europe to play, since this expansion only includes the new boards, not the base components (train cards, draw piles, and so on).
