Welcome to the Foxtrot Bar. In The Mix, you step behind the counter as a young recruit determined to make a name for yourself. Customers arrive with their orders and expectations, and it is up to you to gather the right ingredients, refine your techniques and prepare cocktails that will keep them satisfied. Every completed order brings you closer to your ultimate goal: becoming the bar's top mixologist.

The Mix is a strategy board game combining worker placement, resource management and engine building in a world dedicated entirely to mixology. During each round, you place your Mixologists to perform different actions. You can gather ingredients, improve your techniques, discover new recipes and expand your bar to increase your options as the game progresses. Your establishment gradually becomes more efficient and better equipped to handle incoming orders.

Preparing cocktails is at the heart of the experience, but winning requires more than simply collecting ingredients. In this worker placement game, you need to optimize your actions and develop an efficient engine that makes the most of your resources. Each decision can improve your capabilities for future rounds. The game ends once 15 orders (in a 3 to 4 player game) have been completed, and the player with the most victory points wins.

The Mix is for you if you enjoy resource management games, engine building and experiences where your personal setup becomes increasingly powerful as the game progresses. Its cocktail theme gives the mechanisms a distinctive personality and creates an engaging experience for players who enjoy planning several moves ahead. With support for 1 to 4 players, you can develop your bar on your own or compete against other aspiring mixologists.

The Mix is a homegrown Quebec project, designed in Quebec and published by Montreal-based Ruse Games. Its cocktail setting is closely connected to the gameplay rather than simply serving as decoration: ingredients, recipes, techniques, customers and bar improvements all contribute to the development of your engine. Together, they give this cocktail board game a distinctly strategic identity.

The Mix was designed and illustrated by Guime, also known as Guillaume Boudreau. The Quebec creator is responsible for both the game's design and the visual identity of the Foxtrot Bar, while Montreal-based Ruse Games publishes the game.
