Play Claire Harper, one of the first women to graduate from Oxford in 1927, in Suspects (FR), a cooperative mystery game inspired by the world of Agatha Christie. The rules fit on two short pages: you question suspects, visit locations and examine clues by drawing cards, then answer an investigation questionnaire before comparing your deductions to the solution sealed inside an envelope. Three separate cases take you from the grim Allister Manor to a seedy theater and all the way to the mysteries of ancient Egypt: Murder at Allister Manor, The Last Monologue and The Wings of Vengeance. The deduction mechanic is deceptively simple, but every card you flip costs points, so choose your questions wisely.

Suspects is for you if you enjoy racking your brain over a good detective plot without learning dozens of rules. Whether you play solo or with up to six investigators, this mystery game relies on discussion, observation and reasoning rather than luck, a perfect evening with friends or family around the table.

Suspects is the very first entry in a series that now includes several investigations starring Claire Harper and other detectives, a clear sign of its success. On BoardGameGeek, the game is rated over 7 out of 10 by more than 1300 players, an impressive score for a narrative deduction game. Its most original twist: once a case is solved, a player who already knows it can run it for others, much like a game master, which considerably extends the replay value of the three included scenarios.

The series is created by Guillaume Montiage, with Sébastien Duverger Nédellec and Paul Halter contributing to the investigations' writing, while the beautiful period illustrations are the work of Émile Denis, who brings Claire Harper and the many characters met throughout the three stories to life.
