One spring morning, a huge shadow glides over Small World: an archipelago of floating isles has appeared in the sky. New land means new riches! Climb a giant magical beanstalk and a stairway to the clouds to conquer the Sky Islands before your rivals do. This expansion for Small World (FR) adds a double-sided board showing two or three sky islands, a region that earns bonus gold coins for the race that fully controls it, but whose access is fiercely contested.

Sky Islands expands your pool of peoples and powers with a batch of races and special powers that are just as zany as they are effective, from the Scavengers to the towering Storm Giant. The world is still too small for everyone, and these new combinations spice up every game of conquest, decline and scoring. Everything stores away in a box designed as a handy storage tray to sort all the tokens.

This set also includes the Royal Bonus mini-expansion, which adds three new races, the Fauns, Igors and Shrubmen, plus three new special powers, Aquatic, Behemoth and Fireball. That means even more race-and-power mash-ups and fresh strategies game after game.

This expansion is for you if you already own Small World and want more variety: more races, more powers, a brand-new battleground in the clouds and extra replay value for this beloved classic of accessible strategy gaming.

Sky Islands is designed by Philippe Keyaerts, the creator of Small World, alongside T. Alex Davis. Keyaerts is also known for his characterful conquest games, and his sense of balance and humour shines through in every one of these new races.

What you need to play: these expansions are not standalone games and require the base Small World game to play.
