*French version
Pousse Ta Poule (FR) turns a farmyard afternoon into a race against luck: every adventure begins the moment the first egg drops into the three-dimensional henhouse that doubles as the game board, and each player guides their hen along a path leading straight to the river. On your turn, you drop an egg token into the henhouse, where it rolls around before popping out as a coloured chick in one of the three barnyard sections. You can stop there and use your chicks to push your Mother Hen forward, or tempt fate by dropping another egg to go even further. The catch? If two chicks of the same colour land in the same section, that player's run ends right there for the turn. Easy to grasp yet wildly addictive, this race game turns the box itself into a piece of the game, for fast rounds where the tension rises with every egg dropped.
Pousse Ta Poule is for you if you are looking for a fast-paced dexterity game for the whole family, full of suspense, where the roll of a single egg can flip the whole game in an instant. It is just as fun for little ones who love handling the plastic hens and the colourful egg tokens as it is for parents wanting a light game to close out the evening, with rounds of 15 to 20 minutes that always end in laughter.
The biggest signature is its henhouse box: unlike most board games, the packaging is not just there to store the components, it is part of the mechanism itself, since every egg tumbles through it before revealing the colour of the chick that comes out. A clever design that makes it a great family game for introducing young children to board games from age 5.
The game is designed by Benoit Turpin, also known for the popular Welcome To... series, and Yannis Lidy, the mind behind the board game Gloutons!. The colourful illustrations that bring the hens and chicks to life are the work of Camille Chaussy.
