Phono-duos: Letters is designed to promote the development of knowledge of the lowercase and uppercase forms of letters in children aged 4 to 7.5 years. The game is part of the Phono-duos series, which offers five graded games targeting different skills prior to learning to read and write.

Why this game?

Phonological awareness, like knowledge of letters and their sounds, is a skill linked to the development of reading skills. Since phonological awareness is not acquired on its own and usually emerges before entering school, it is relevant to stimulate its development to prepare the child to learn to read. It is also important for the child to gradually become familiar with the letters of the alphabet, their different shapes, and, subsequently, their sounds. However, teaching is best done through play to motivate the child who is still young.

The Phono-duos series was designed with this in mind. The games it offers help children gradually develop their phonological awareness skills and their knowledge of letters and their sounds.
