Onitama: Light and Shadow is an expansion that shakes up Onitama's elegant duel of martial tactics by introducing a brand-new type of pawn: the Ninja. Unlike other pawns, the Ninja moves in secret, hidden from your opponent's view until the moment it strikes. Every clash turns into a game of bluffing and anticipation where you must guess what your opponent is plotting.

This expansion offers two ways to play. Way of the Shadow is a symmetrical game in which each player deploys and controls their own Ninja. Way of the Light is an asymmetrical game that pits one player controlling both Ninjas against a player leading Onitama's traditional Master and Students. Two distinct experiences that completely renew the strategies at the table.
