Let the match begin! Le match d'impro (FR) brings home the electric vibe of the improv nights run by Quebec's Ligue nationale d'improvisation. Two teams, the Reds and the Blues, face off by improvising short scenes on a randomly drawn theme read aloud by a referee, following the league's real rules. Before each improv, players and their captain confer for a timed 30 seconds, then the referee whistles the start and end of the bout while the audience votes for the best team. Match length is set either by a number of improvs or by a total time fixed in advance, for games that quickly build in energy.

Le match d'impro is for you if you love expressive party games, theatre, laughter and team spirit. You will adopt it if you want a group activity that breaks the ice and draws out big personalities, with family, friends or a class.

The game draws directly on the sports-style format invented in Quebec by the Ligue nationale d'improvisation, with its armbands, its puck and its referee. The referee's opening word that launches each bout is even printed under the box lid.
