Lairs is a strategic board game for two players that blends dungeon building, exploration, and deduction into a tense and immersive experience. Each game is a head-to-head challenge where only one adventurer will prove worthy.

Players begin by constructing their own dungeon using walls, traps, monsters, and treasures, creating a maze designed to challenge their opponent. Once complete, both players take turns exploring each other’s dungeon without knowing its layout, mapping their discoveries step by step.

The gameplay focuses on resource management and deduction. Players spend energy cubes to perform actions, uncover spaces, and interact with hazards. Encounters with monsters and traps are resolved through dice checks, adding tension and risk to every move .

Victory comes from collecting treasures, defeating monsters, and exiting the dungeon efficiently. Deciding when to escape versus pushing deeper for more points is a key strategic choice that shapes every game .
