*French version

A magical painting opens onto an imaginary world, and young Jonas is about to step through it to face the fearsome Queen of the Draconia. In The Mysterious Forest (FR), a cooperative memory game designed for the whole family, you and your team must work together to scout the eight locations along the path, memorize the gear each one requires, then fill Jonas' backpack before setting off on the expedition. A round unfolds in three phases: careful observation of the Path cards, packing the backpack based on a roll of the dice, then the crossing itself, where every right answer brings the team closer to victory, and every mistake threatens to unravel the whole trip.

You will likely enjoy The Mysterious Forest if you are looking for a fast, replayable board game to share with younger players, if you want to give the whole family's memory a workout without fussy rules, and if the idea of a cooperative fairy-tale adventure, where everyone wins or loses together, appeals to you.

This little memory gem did not go unnoticed: it was nominated for the prestigious Kinderspiel des Jahres (Children's Game of the Year) in Germany in 2017, one of the most respected awards in the board game industry.

The visual world of The Mysterious Forest draws on The Wormworld Saga, the online graphic novel by illustrator Daniel Lieske, whose fairy-tale style gives young Jonas and his perilous journey their soul. The game was designed by Carlo A. Rossi.
