Kingdomino (FR) - The Lost Treasures slips a touch of mystery into your ever-expanding kingdom. Word is spreading through every corner of the realm: chests full of precious gems have mysteriously appeared, and it is up to you to track them down! Every time you form a square of four different, adjacent landscapes with your dominoes, you uncover a treasure hidden beneath one of the two revealed Chest tokens. Choose the gem that interests you and place it at the intersection of those four territories, orienting it however you like, then flip a new token so two gems are always available. Watch out: some gems hide a skull that completely wipes out the points of the territory they point to, no matter its size or crown count! And if you manage to gather all five different gem types in your kingdom before your opponents, you win the game on the spot, without even counting points: an immediate victory that shakes up the usual tension of a Kingdomino game.

You will likely enjoy Kingdomino - The Lost Treasures if you have already conquered your kingdom with the base game and are looking to add a bit of spice to it. This mini-expansion slips into your regular games in seconds and turns every new tile placement into a chance to sniff out a treasure. Regulars who like to keep their bearings while spicing up their strategy will especially appreciate this light but punchy option.

This mini-expansion marks the 10th anniversary of Kingdomino, first published in 2016 and awarded the prestigious Spiel des Jahres the following year. A nice way to keep the Kingdomino collection growing, year after year.

This mini-expansion comes from Bruno Cathala, the creator of the original Kingdomino, joined here by Pauline Detraz. Cathala is also behind well-loved games like Mysterium and Five Tribes, and his knack for simple yet tension-filled mechanics shows once again here.

To play, you absolutely need the base Kingdomino game, since this mini-expansion never stands on its own; it is currently in stock at the shop, so you can complete your collection in a single stop.
