Who is taking out the garbage tonight? Nobody wants the chore, so everyone pulls out their best excuses! Kiki va sortir les poubelles (FR) is a hilarious party game where you play flatmates ready to do anything to avoid the chore. Each player receives six Excuse cards, and a Location token is placed in the middle of the table: the living room, the kitchen, the bathroom... You then have to invent an excuse by combining the action on one card with the object on another, while adapting to the imposed place. Watering the vacuum cleaner in the bathroom, anyone? The game is played simultaneously, with no turn order: everyone speaks up whenever they want, can question the others and defend their alibi with a straight face.

Once the excuses have been presented, the group votes for the lamest one. The chosen player flips a card to its garbage side, and the game is played over three rounds. At the end, whoever has piled up the most garbage in front of them is stuck taking it out. Games are quick, about 15 minutes, which makes rematches easy.

Kiki va sortir les poubelles (FR) is for you if you enjoy social games where you laugh as much at yourself as at others, if you love improvising and shameless bad faith, and if you are looking for an easy-to-teach little game to liven up a night with friends or flatmates.

A fun fact: with 60 cards each showing an action and an object, the game offers thousands of possible excuse combinations, so almost no two games are alike.
