In a lush green park, a simple day of play quickly spirals into total chaos: perched at the top of a yellow ladder, a mom in a red polka-dot dress helps her grandpa launch down the yellow slide, while a young boy in a yellow sweater holds the ladder steady on the ground. But nobody has noticed the giant pink octopus that has wrapped itself all around the base of the slide, its purple-spotted tentacles taking over the whole ramp! Just above, two terrified cats have taken refuge in the branches of a big tree, while a dalmatian comes running and barking at the whole gang, sending a little turtle hiding near a daisy scurrying for cover. As always in this series, every corner of the picture hides a wink or a funny detail to spot, to the delight of young sleuths everywhere.

This Junior comic puzzle is the sixteenth title in a collection designed to introduce kids to the wacky world of comic jigsaw puzzles, with scenes just as busy and funny as the puzzles made for grown-ups, but in a more manageable format. Putting together a scene this packed with characters and mishaps helps young puzzlers build their concentration, observation skills and patience, all while having fun. The box is even made from recycled cardboard, a small environmental gesture families appreciate.

Behind all this hilarious chaos is Jan van Haasteren, a Dutch illustrator known the world over for jigsaw puzzles crammed with characters and visual gags. The Junior line faithfully captures his signature style, making it accessible to the series' youngest fans, ages 5 and up.

DIMENSIONS: 48.5 x 33.5 cm once assembled.
