In In the Name of Odin, you are one of the contenders for the title of new Jarl. Brave warrior, shrewd trader and bold explorer, you must prove your worth, because only one player will rule in the name of Odin! This strategy game is played with 2 to 5 players.
During the game, you spend action cards to construct new buildings in your village, gather companions, recruit famous Vikings and build longships that will carry you toward glory. Every card you play counts, and hand management is at the heart of your decisions.
In the Name of Odin is for you if you enjoy strategy games with a medieval, Nordic theme, where every choice brings you closer to (or farther from) the throne. You will also enjoy the set collection if you like planning your combinations.
The game was designed by Krzysztof Zięba and illustrated by several artists, including Enggar Adirasa. It was released in 2016 and a Kickstarter edition also exists.
