Welcome to the counter! In Greasy Spoon, you run a little neighbourhood diner and the dining room is packed with hungry customers. This two-player card game is a head-to-head duel: each player has their own 54-card deck, and the first to shed their entire deck wins the round.

To get there, you serve your customers by playing menu items: drinks, sides (onion rings, fries) and mains (hot dog, cheeseburger), each offered in a regular or fancy version. You can also pair a main with a drink or a side to serve a combo, and outbid your opponent with a more expensive dish. It is a ladder-climbing card game where hand management matters as much as good timing: keep the right cards for the right moment, or your rival will take control of the service.

Greasy Spoon is for you if you want a quick duel that is easy to explain and tactical enough to spark a rematch, or if you enjoy shedding games with a fun diner theme.

The game was designed by Sean Ross and illustrated by Carly A-F. It has also been adapted on Board Game Arena for online play.
