It is 1888, and everywhere you turn, people are talking about the horseless carriage. While the Benzes and Diesels of the world make history, you, an ambitious engineer of meager means, toil in the shadows to build a prototype that will impress picky investors. In this strategy game, each player assembles their own automobile by carefully planning actions: patent brand-new parts at the Patent Office, dig through the Junk Yard for unpredictable machinery, throw elbows in the Back Alley to spy on rivals, then put it all together in the Workshop.
This accessible action planning game is played with satisfyingly thick tiles instead of cards: electric, gasoline and steam motors, axles, gears and steering systems combine in two rows to form your machine. Watch your volatility! An automobile patched together from dubious parts can cost you dearly in the final scoring. Good timing, sharp observation and a dash of luck: those are the ingredients of this original board game designed by Jukka Höysniemi.
