Step into the world of Antoni Gaudí, the visionary Catalan architect born in 1852, whose style blended Gothic and Art Nouveau. In Gaudí, this tile-placement strategy game, you travel through his life and work, scoring victory points in the three pillars that shaped his creations: Nature, Catalonia and Religion. Keep it balanced: only your two lowest totals among the three pillars count toward final scoring.

The game unfolds over three rounds. On your turn, you move around the central Chandelier and carefully choose where to stop to draw cards and collect different trencadís tiles, the colorful fragments reminiscent of Gaudí's mosaics. You then use them to play your cards and climb the chimneys on your personal board. At the end of the third round, the player with the highest and most balanced combination of points wins.

You will probably enjoy Gaudí if you like tile placement games where you must balance several goals, if you enjoy building beautiful patterns on your board and if art and architecture inspire you. It plays 1 to 4 players, with an official solo mode where you face Gaudí himself.

The game is designed by Dani Garcia and illustrated by Edu Valls.
