One tiny board, two players, and two completely different ways to play. In Duel of Meloch (FR), you face your opponent head to head: one player takes the Scythe side, the other takes the Expeditions side. Each keeps their own rules, components and powers, which makes this asymmetric dueling game such an original clash. A game lasts about 45 minutes, and you need nothing but this box to play.

The double-sided map has only 10 locations and 2 lakes: space is tight, so every turn counts. The first player to place 4 stars on the Triumph Track wins. But watch out, the devious Meloch keeps the game close: every time you place a star, your opponent receives a small boost. Combat is played with a brand-new deck of 60 combat cards, for tense clashes right up to the last star.

Duel of Meloch is for you if you know Scythe or Expeditions and you are looking for a quick, tense, face-to-face two-player game. It also suits fans of asymmetric duels where each side plays a different game. It is perfect for an evening for two, and a solo mode with Automa cards is also included if you want to take it on alone. It is enough for one player to know one of the two games and the other to know the other.

The box contents are also compatible with both original games: every Scythe faction, player mat, encounter card and factory card works in Duel of Meloch, as do the Expeditions mechs, characters, companions and discovery cards (items, meteorites and half of the quests). The 3 new factory cards, 6 new encounter cards and 30 new discovery cards can also join your games of Scythe and Expeditions.

The game is by Jamey Stegmaier, the designer of Scythe, and is illustrated by Jakub Rozalski, who handled the art and worldbuilding.
