The four great dragons of Etchinstone have fallen, but Vale's peace does not last. Another seismic wave of Ether unfolds from the Tear and reaches the Tower itself: its very stone begins to pulse with irresistible elemental light, a beacon that calls out to everything that crawls, flies, or schemes across the land... and to far worse. In Dragons of Etchinstone: Siege, your Ether Mage must now defend the besieged Tower against waves of increasingly deadly enemies. Your hand grows larger, letting you build two Action Sets per turn, and brand new Structure Cards grant powerful abilities to turn the tide of battle. Hand management gets tighter, decisions carry heavier consequences, and every card you play can decide the Tower's fate.

Dragons of Etchinstone: Siege is for you if you have already savored the base game and want to raise the stakes another notch, if you thrive on tight hand management and pressure-filled decisions, and if you love solo sessions that play fast but think slow. The Return to Etchinstone variant, which puts you in the monsters' shoes, will also appeal to anyone who wants to see the Tower from an entirely different angle.

This expansion is the second after Northvale, released in 2024, confirming that Dragons of Etchinstone keeps growing year after year. It adds the Return to Etchinstone variant, flipping the script: you now lead the monsters trying to reclaim their lost home through the Tower's Ether rift. Warmly received in its first weeks, it already carries an average rating above 8 out of 10 from the BoardGameGeek community.

This expansion carries the signature of Joe Klipfel, designer of the base game and of the Northvale expansion, once again joined by illustrators Bree Lindsoe and Federico Pompili, whose art gives the new Structure Cards and dragons their distinct look.
